Doui Lab Product
Bite
Bite turns meal photos into share-ready cards with price, restaurant name, area, and taste notes. Restaurant name can be left blank, and address, map outline, and watermark display can be adjusted.
Overview
What kind of app it is
Bite is made for food photos you want to keep with context. It works without login, and records are stored on the device.
- Nearby restaurant candidates can be inferred from photo location or current location.
- Place lookup primarily uses Google Places API through Doui Lab's server.
- Local cache can reuse candidates for nearby places.
- Region outline, address, and watermark display can be toggled.
- Region outlines are based on prefectures, states, countries, or similar administrative areas.
- Ad-free users can hide the watermark.
- Bite is now available on the App Store.
- In-app purchases support Light Bite and Big Bite credit packs.
- The support page and privacy policy are available publicly.
How To Use
How it works
The flow is short: choose a photo, edit the card, then share it.
Take a food photo or choose one from the library. Location data can help show nearby places and regional context.
Edit restaurant name, price, menu/message, and taste notes. Cards can also be shared without a restaurant name.
Cards can be saved or shared from the iOS share sheet. Saved records can be reopened and edited again.
